santiago astata
Astata means "between herons," comes from the words aztatl-"heron" and tlan-"instead of".
Located on the Isthmus of Tehuantepec in the southeast of the state, in the coordinates 95 º 40 'west longitude, 15 º 59' north latitude, at a height of 30 meters above sea level. Bordered on the north, east and west with San PedroHuamelula and south Pacific Ocean. Its distance to the state capital is 263kms.
The climate of this town is hot in the months January to June, half of the year with warm temperatures and cool temperatures with wind at the end of the year.
