Ciudad Altamirano, known only as Altamirano, a Mexican city of Guerrero state, located in the Tierra Caliente region. It is county seat of Pungarabato.

Located along the river Cutzamala, one of the main tributaries of the BalsasRiver, which serves in this border region between the states of Guerrero and Michoacan, Ciudad Altamirano standing in the border region of the two. The cityfunctions as a junction of highways 134 and 51 federal, communicating in the state Cutzamala de Pinzon with Zihuatanejo and Iguala with Ciudad Altamirano, respectively

Ciudad Altamirano is located in the Municipality of Pungarabato (in the state ofGuerrero). It has 25,317 inhabitants. Ciudad Altamirano is 230 meters.
