The site occupies an area of 1 760 hectares, is covered by forests of fir, cedar and oak. Its climate is temperate-humid with heavy frosts in winter, the average annual temperature is 12 º C.
The Valley of Silence Valley of the Nuns, Friendship Valley, Conejo Valley and Vallede Salazar, are some of the main plains that make up this park and are ideal for horseback riding, motorcycle rides, bikers mountain and make picnics.
The most significant elevations of the park are: The Peñas Barron, The Tepehuisco,Three Rocks, Las Palmas and Peña Torcida, perfect for climbing and rappellingpractice.
The Sierra de las Cruces awaits various places, natural viewpoints, large ridges,peaks and dense forests. There are several trout farms where you can fish for troutand personally ask you to help fix your own.
There are several very appropriate services and places for camping, hiking andpicnicking.
Mountaineering enthusiasts will find various elevations that are a good challenge totest their skills on the rise.
The commercial area of the park, there are horse rentals, small motorcycles and otherattractions
Localización: 32 km al este de Toluca por la carretera 15.
Como llegar
La Marquesa, se ubica al oriente de la capital del Estado de México y al poniente del Distrito Federal, en el límite entre ambas entidades.
Para llegar a este parque hay que tomar la carretera número 15 México-Toluca, libre o de cuota, hasta llegar al parque. Son 22 kilómetros los que tendrás que recorrer en un tiempo de 25 minutos.
Si deseas viajar en autobús debes trasladarte a la central camionera de Observatorio y abordar un camión que te conduzca hasta el parque
