How can one describe Pepe's Hideway? It is hard to put into words. The beauty of the place is absolutly breathtaking. It is serene and soothing, the sound of the waves rocking you in a deep lazy nap, by the pool or in the privacy of your casita... as the staff spoils you rotten with all kinds of attention: my boyfriend and I hardly left the property and we went to the private beach only once where Speedy, Pepe's right hand man, brought us drinks and snacks (freshly made ceviche, guac and quesadillas, absolutly delicious!). It is Robinson Crusoe meets high cuisine, superb diners served on white linens under the palm trees... Time seems to stand still, yet the last day comes way to soon, only to make you ache to come back again.

Spent a wonderful week at Pepe's in early February 2007. For those that are looking for a quiet, restful, romantic, secluded and totally spoiled vacation this is it. Unable to say enough praise for Pepe, Speedy and the gang. Speedy, as the chef, was absolutly great. Speedy, as Pepe's right hand man, was always available to add to our vacation experience. This, without a question, is our favorite destination in Mexico. Pepe- we will be back. Thanks so much for sharing your piece of heaven with us.
Had an absolutely splendid time at Pepe's. I am a 32 year Black female writer who traveled alone. I travel often and know when a place is the real deal or not. I am also a picky traveler. At Pepes, I was treated to the best food, accomodations and conversation! Pepe can talk about anything and his stories are fascinating. I came alone, but did not feel alone. I had plenty of alone time to focus on a writing project. When I arrived, I was treated to margaritas and guacamole. I felt like I was coming home after months away! The days I was on the beach were welcomed with Speedy bringing me food...just for me! And I did not disappoint. This place really pleased my appetite and I can eat. I never went hungry or dissatisfied. Everything was done with class and attention to the details. Pepe, Speedy and the staff are first class!
