Cuaxomulco Township is located in the central Mexican highlands

The name of the town comes from the Nahuatl Cuahxomulco and means "In thecorner of the Trees". The word derives Cuaxomulco also the following words:"cuahuitl", meaning tree, "Xomulli" which translates as corner and "Co", denotingplace.


Cuaxomulco Township is located in the central Mexican highlands 2.420 metersabove sea level, its geographical position, according to the National Institute of Statistics, Geography and Informatics is 19 degrees, 21 minutes north latitude and 98 degrees, 06 minutes west longitude.
