Valladolid is a town in the state of Yucatan, Mexico. In 2003 it had an estimated population of 38.000 inhabitants in 2005, and currently 60 000 inhabitants (2009) is approximately 65 000 inhabitants, the third largest city in Yucatan, Merida and after Tizimín.

It is a town of great tourist attraction by virtue of its colonial size, its renowned cuisine and due to the proximity and road infrastructure that links conveniently to Cancun, as well as archeological sites of Chichen Itza (50 km) of Coba (30 km) and Tulum (155 km). It is also convenient starting point to the north coast of the Yucatan Peninsula, particularmetnte to the area of Colonia Yucatan, Las Coloradas, Ria Lagartos and the island of Holbox.

Valladolid, which happened two passages in the history of Mexico: "Caste War" in 1847 and "The first spark of the Mexican Revolution in 1910, is now known as" The Capital of the East Maya, "a title earned not only by the architectural beauty of its ancient colonial buildings as the Convent of San Bernardino of Siena, the Municipal Palace, the Church of St. Servatius, Ex Aurora Loom, the Museum of San Roque, and other no less important.
