Ventanilla: puerto escondido surrounding
Ventanilla is 14 km from Puerto Angel (see map). You can get here by Taxi or revenue. More convenient would of course be an organized tour.
This village is composed 25 families, all committed to working to maintain life and conserve mangrove biodiversity.
Nest in the mangroves and live different species of birds and reptiles: woodpeckers, kingfishers, diving ducks and a huge variety of herons, crocodiles and iguanas. Many of them endangered.
In these lagoons, where mangroves grow, there is a huge variety of crustaceans and microorganisms that are eaten by turtles, dolphins and fish when they break the bars. That is, where the sea meets the lagoon. A phenomenon that occurs during the rainy season.
Tours of the lake by boat. Here you can see and know in all its glory the life of the mangrove swamp with its countless birds, iguanas and crocodiles in their natural habitat.
