San Agustinillo
Description
Community formed at the same time as Mazunte and administratively belongs to Santa Maria Tonameca. Small population is mostly agricultural activity and small-scale fisheries. For too long the people lived off the exploitation and slaughter of the turtle, because this track hosted the turtle population, until 1990, when the Federal Government ordered the total closure.
In the town has a beach of about 1.300 meters (4.265 feet) in length divided into three sections, one protected by rocks and where you can swim with ease by the softness of the waves, the other party located in the heavy swells eastern part of the beach. The locals offering free boat rides to tours of the area.

San Agustinillo is located 24 kilometers (15 miles) from San Pedro Pochutla, along highway 200 to Puerto Escondido to reach the town of San Antonio. From here on the left fork and follow a paved road to San Agustinillo Mazunte through.

• Beach San Agustinillo
The beach out to sea more than a kilometer (3,281 feet) in length and a width of 50 meters (165 feet) approximately. The slope and the waves are moderate. The golden sand is medium grain, the water is warm and has greenish-blue. There are restaurant and rental cabins.
Location
The beach is located to the south of town just 30 steps.
