The Municipality of Zaragoza is one of the 38 municipalities of the Mexican state of Coahuila, located at its northern end, is one of the largest municipalities in the state;Its seat is the city of Zaragoza.
Zaragoza is located in the north of Coahuila, has an area of 8183.5 square kilometers representing 5.40% of the total area of the state, making it the fourthlargest municipality, after the de Ocampo, Acuña and Parras. It limits the north with the municipality of Acuña, northeast to the municipality of Jimenez, the east by themunicipality of Piedras Negras, on the southeast by the municipality of Nava, the south by the municipality of Morelos and the southwest by the municipality ofMuzquiz
