Cuaxomulco Township is located in the central Mexican highlands

The name of the town comes from the Nahuatl Cuahxomulco and means "In thecorner of the Trees". The word derives Cuaxomulco also the following words:"cuahuitl", meaning tree, "Xomulli" which translates as corner and "Co", denotingplace.
