Peñita Jaltemba

The surrounding area features pineapple, banana, mango and other fruit production. The main street, or "Avenue", as we know this works - west of the road to the beach and has a central boulevard with palm trees and benches. A series of tourist shops, clothing stores, shoe stores, restaurants and other merchants run up and down the street. Two blocks south end of Beach Avenue is a large shaded plaza. This market is a must see everything from fresh fruit, seafood, vegetables, household goods, hardware, clothing and crafts. The colors and scents to provide a carnival atmosphere!
It is considered by some as serving the community of the occupied town of Rincon de Guayabitos, immediately to the south. The two communities are separated only by a narrow river. Rincon de Guayabitos is a community of hotels, bunaglows, small shops and tourist restaurants, while La Peñita offering banking, grocery stores, vegetable markets and public facilities such as library and offices. In Nuevo in the east end of the Avenue, where Highway 200, Rincon de La Peñita, Corner transportation system is available for transportation between the communities for a few pesos
