la mision San Miguel is a town in Baja California, located in Mexican Federal Highway 1 about 40 miles south of Rosarito Beach's "Gold Coast" of thepeninsula of Baja California. The 2005 census reported a population of 1,058inhabitants. The port city of Ensenada is a 40 km or so south of La Mission.
The ruins of Mission San Miguel Arcangel de la Frontera is located near downtown.
