Xochicalco is an archaeological site is located in the state of Morelos, Mexico. The place name comes from Nahuatl meaning Place of the House of Flowers. Located 38 km southwest of the city of Cuernavaca. This site was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1999.

"House of flowers", is located on a series of natural hills surrounded by a beautiful valley in the state of Morelos, whose view enjoyed by all visitors. From the top, you can see the three terraced platforms that held the city in its heyday. Each of them met with a specific mission. The lowest is surrounded by moats and displays the access road and entrance to the population flanked by two bastions. This speaks of a fortified city, the road is paved with large slabs, and framed with walls that gave low-rise residential areas.
