Puerto Morelos is a charming fishing village located 30 minutes
south of Cancun (15 minutes from Cancun International Airport) and 20
minutes north of Playa del Carmen in Quintana Roo, Mexico. A
perfect to enjoy life and relax, a resort
unique to the Riviera Maya.

The National Marine Park, part of the Grand Mayan Reef the world
second largest barrier reef, is only 800 meters from the shore. You
can go swimming comfortably and the area is ideal for diving, snorkeling,
windsurfing and other water activities. Near the entrance to the city
is the only botanical garden in the region and a zoo.

On Route Cenotes can find an ecological park, are also
many cenotes. This adventure awaits just 25 minutes drive from
Puerto Morelos.

The city is surrounded by mangroves, west to the beautiful fauna
local. To the east are wide beaches of white sand and the Caribbean.
Puerto Morelos, despite being a small town located between two
internationally recognized large tourism developments (Cancun and
Playa del Carmen) has a longer history than the latter.

Its modern history begins in the late nineteenth century, in 1898
the founding of the Colonization Society of the East Coast of Yucatan
due to the need for an outlet to the sea to export their
products, the company ordered its workers to breach of
Hacienda de Santa Maria (now Leona Vicario) to the southwest, little
some workers came to the Caribbean Sea and named the point as
"Punta Cork", establishing the first families in a camp
rudimentary huts.
Puerto Morelos offers:

Fresh seafood daily and diving and snorkeling trips
on the reef. Wednesday morning has a farmer's market and
Spa Maya jungle.
