Playa Las Animas is located 19 km southwest of the city of Puerto VallartaThere is much to do besides sunbathing on the beach and the city 15 minutes southof Boca de Tomatlan. Framed in oak, coconut trees and rose-flower Amapa, thename of the sandy brown means "Souls", a cemetery was reportedly here many years ago. Formulation of the 1 km long (½-mile) of beach are lots of smooth rocks, odd-looking an awful lot like petrified elephant poop. Because of its very shallow water,Las Animas is often referred to as the Children's Beach (beach boys), and tends to fill up with families on weekends and holidays. They come with a water taxi or as part ofthe middle-or cruise around the bay all day. Five or six seafood restaurants line thebeach, a few balls provide their clients for use on clay courts at the front. You can alsorent jet skis, banana boat ride or soar into the sky behind a speedboat, while hanging from a canopy of colors. Facilities: Banana-boat rides, boating, jet skis, parasailing, food.
