Cancun Quintana Roo, Mexico

Cancun (Mayan: Kan Kun, " Nest of Snakes')?, Is a city with world-class tourism development certified by the World Tourism Organization UNWTO UNWTO. [2] Located on the northeast coast of Quintana Roo southeastern Mexico to more than 1700 km from Mexico City, the project began operations in 1974 as Integrally Planned Center, a pioneer of FONATUR (National Fund for Tourism Development), formerly known as INFRATUR.

Cancun thus becomes an agency supported by the Department of Education and Knowledge Management of the WTO.
